She received her B.A. from Bob Jones University, an M.A. from Michigan State University, and a Ph.D. from Iliff School of Theology\/University of Denver. Since 1970, Dr. Mathews has been involved in women’s ministries in both North America and overseas. After more than a decade in church ministries in the USA, she and her husband spent 17 years serving churches in France and Austria.  Since 1990 she has co-hosted the daily ODBM radio program,\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cem\u003eDiscover the Word\u003c\/em\u003e, with Mart DeHaan and Haddon Robinson.
