The hope of Christmas is that despite our doubts, He is faithful.
Christmas reminds us that God has not forgotten us. Like Zechariah, Elizabeth, and Joseph, we sometimes experience unbelief, disappointment, or a broken heart. But from their lives we see that when doubt and pain give way to faith, hope is born. God changed Zechariah, Elizabeth, and Joseph. It all hinged on their “yes.” When they said yes to Him, He gave them gift s they could never have imagined. He gave each of them—in their own way—an encounter with the newborn King.
