Called to Compassion (Discovery Series booklet)
Who does God say He is—and what does that say about us?
Do names really matter? Well, it certainly mattered to Moses as he pleaded on behalf of the guilty Israelites in front of the righteous God. Moses was about to learn just how glorious, gracious, and merciful the name "Yahweh" should be to all of us. In Called to Compassion, author Joseph Dodson explores the compassion of God's unending compassion, it only makes sense that we make it a part of our lives too.
Joseph R. Dodson is the Craig L. Blomberg Endowed Chair of New Testament at Denver Seminary and a pastor at New Denver Church. He and his elementary school sweetheart, Sadie, have five children who have married wonderful people, and a few grandchildren. He is also an avid hiker who has summited countless mountains around the world and has bagged two-thirds of "the 14ers" in the contiguous US.
