Celebrating The Wonder Of A Tree (Discovery Series Booklet)

The Bible itself contains more references to trees than to any other living thing except people.

A world without trees would be a vastly different place.  Neighbourhoods without trees, fields without woods, and continents without forests would mean the end of life as we know it.  Dean Ohlman points out in this booklet, in a world without trees the Bible would also be a different book.  Beginning in Genesis we find the story of trees that define the spiritual nature of our existence and survival.  May the wisdom of this booklet renew our ability to see the wonder and the significance of one of God's great gifts to us.  

Dean Ohlman is an educator and advocate for Christian environmental ethics.  He has been a scriptwriter and TV producer for Our Daily Bread Ministries Day of Discovery broadcast, as well as a contributor to Discovery Series.  He and his wife, Marge, live in West Michigan where he regularly hikes, enjoys photography, and revels in the beauty of God's creation.
