« Être rempli de l’Esprit » peut revêtir une signification différente pour diverses personnes. Herbert Vander Lugt s’est joint aux Ministères Notre Pain Quotidien (MNPQ) en 1966. Il était alors le troisième auteur à contribuer à la rédaction du Notre Pain Quotidien. Il a également été directeur de la recherche et de la rédaction aux MNPQ, auteur de nombreux livrets de la Série Découverte et pasteur de plusieurs Églises.

The Spirit Gives Life!

Being "filled with the Spirit" can have different meanings to different people.  It's important to first turn to Scripture to understand who the Holy Spirit is and how He works.  When we submit ourselves to Him, we are asking Him to take control or "fill us" so that our thoughts and actions are in line with what God wants.  Herb Vander Lugt explains what the Spirit-filled life looks like and how we can experience it to the fullest.

Herb VanderLugt (1920-2006) grew up in a large family during the Depression.  He was married to his wife Virginia for 65 years.  He enlisted in the US Army during WWII, serving in the Medic Corp in England. Although he was encouraged by his Army supervising doctors to become a physician, he felt a calling to the ministry. He graduated from Moody Bible Institute and Grand Rapids Baptist Seminary. He pastored at First Baptist Church in Carson City, First Baptist Church in Zeeland, Spring Lake Baptist, Trinity Baptist in Grand Rapids, Alaska Baptist Church, Church of the Open Door in Wyoming, and was presently Pastor Emeritus at Sparta Baptist Church. Pastor VanderLugt was often called upon to speak and fulfill interim pastorates. In 1967 he began working at Radio Bible Class where he became the senior research editor, a staff writer, and regular contributor to "Our Daily Bread." He also authored many booklets and books.
