The Holy Land, Seasons 1 , 2 & 3 (DVD)
Begin a grand adventure with Dr. Jack Beck and discover the land's importance to key Bible stories by exploring the Holy Land for 3 exciting seasons!
In Season 1, you'll fly over Mt. Tabor in an ultralight trike, join a fun water fight with children in Gideon's Spring, and squeeze through the narrow passages of Hezekiah's tunnel in this eight-part series. Join John as he guides you through these places you've read about in Scripture, and see how he makes these Bible stories come alive for you.
In Season 2, you’ll start in the barren Judean Wilderness and see how God provided for and protected David, Jesus, and others in Scripture in the physical wilderness, and how He provides for you today in your times of need. Then you'll journey outward to the scenic Coastal Plain where you’ll discover the beauty of the seaside and better understand God’s plan of bringing the gospel to the whole world through the story of Peter in Jaffa. Then you'll move on to the Shephelah where God enabled important victories—including the well-known showdown between David and Goliath—and allowed His gospel message to continue to spread.
In Season 3, you'll start in the Mount Hermon region, where you’ll discover how the unique geography played a significant role in how the people who lived and worked there experienced God . . . and oftentimes misrepresented the truth of His Word for personal or political gain. Then you'll head to the Galilee region, the intersection between Europe and Asia and the commercial heart of the Holy Land. Discover why the world was coming to Galilee for commerce and why Jesus chose this region to start His ministry. Lastly, you will visit the iconic Jordan River with Jack as he uncovers gripping details about the river and the powerful meaning it brings to familiar Bible stories as a symbol of transition. Then explore the fascinating Dead Sea to consider God’s promise to bring hope and life to this region.
